Alex Gregory Earns Ciclope and FilmLight Colour Awards Nominations for Coldplay x Choose Love: In-Between

Harbor colourist Alex Gregory has earned recognition from two of the industry's most prestigious craft awards, with Coldplay x Choose Love: In-Between shortlisted at both Ciclope and the FilmLight Colour Awards.

Directed by Renee Maria Osubu, In-Between is a finalist in Ciclope's Colour Grading category and has also been nominated for Best Commercial Colour Grade at the FilmLight Colour Awards.

Created to support the film's themes of identity, displacement and belonging, Alex's grade takes a subtle, story-first approach, enhancing depth, continuity and emotional resonance without overpowering the performances. Working across footage shot in Malta and Kenya, he carefully balanced each scene to create a cohesive visual language while preserving the unique character of both locations.

"Great colour grading is an exercise in refinement rather than reinvention," says Alex. "The objective was not to impose a recognisable look, but to elevate what was already present."
