FILMLIGHT 2024 Colour Awards Jury Member – Damien Vandercruyssen
Originally from Normandy, Senior Colorist Damien Vandercruyssen has created some of entertainment’s most unique looks for titles such as: Alejandro Iñárritu’s Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, The Safdie Brothers’ Uncut Gems, Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, Donald Glover’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and the forthcoming Blink Twice from Zoë Kravitz.
Damien began his career after studying cinematography at the prestigious ENS Louis Lumiere film school near Paris. Damien’s expertise in cinematography and color science have led to regular collaborations with highly regarded directors including Sofia Coppola, the Safdie brothers, and Trey Edward Shults along with cinematographers Philippe Le Sourd, Drew Daniel, and Darius Khondji.
Damien’s work on Apple TV+’s Lisey’s Story garnered him a Filmlight award for Best Color Grading in TV/episodic.
