Emmy-nominated Supervising Sound Editor Ian Cymore Joins Filmmaker U!
Starting his sound career as a live engineer for concerts and theatrical productions, Ian Cymore was eager to transition into the post-production arena and subsequently secured a role with HARBOR. He is now an accomplished supervising sound editor and re- recording mixer for both film and television. He has collaborated with directors such as Michael Tyburski, Edward Burns, Joel Edgerton, Chris Smith, Steven Soderbergh, and Alan Yang.
Ian's most recent credits include Netflix's "Tiger King 2" and "Tiger King: Murderً, Mayhem, & Madnessً", Lee Daniels' "The United States vs Billie Holiday", Edɯard Burn's "Bridge and Tunnelً", Ron Howard's "Hillbilly Elegy", and Michael Tyburski's "Sound of Silenceِ" Ian earned Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on Netflix's "Tiger King," in both the Outstanding Sound Editing and Sound Mixing categories. He also received an MPSE Golden Reel nomination for his work on "Sweetbitter."
